Iggy Pop, 2011
Iggy Pop was published in connection with the exhibition Dum Dum Boys and features portraits photographed by Mikael in Miami, Florida, in 2010.
The book presents Iggy Pop in a series of direct and concentrated portraits characterized by intimacy, physical presence, and restraint. Rather than placing the subject within a constructed narrative, the work focuses on expression, gesture, and surface, allowing the images to exist with minimal mediation.
Designed by Greger Ulf Nilsson and published by Gun Gallery in 2011, the book was issued in an edition of 500 copies. Out of print. A limited number of first edition copies remain available. A selection of the photographs was first exhibited at Gun Gallery in Stockholm and later shown at The Ravestijn Gallery and The Pan in Amsterdam.
